Mihail Sosnovschi was born in Chisinau (Moldova). After training at the Ballet Academy in Moldova and the Vienna Conservatory, he joined Le Jeune Ballet de France in 2000. In 2001, he transitioned to the Vienna State Ballet, where he was promoted to demi-soloist in 2003 and soloist in 2010. His repertoire includes major classical roles as well as numerous contemporary ones. Mischa has performed as a guest dancer in many European countries and overseas, and was celebrated as an audience favorite at the Vienna State Opera.

Mihail also gained significant recognition through his frequent appearances at the New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic (17 times) and the Vienna Opera Ball (14 times).

Since 2003, Mihail Sosnovschi has been a board member of the Vienna State Opera Ballet Association. He became Vice Chairman in 2008 and was elected President of the association in 2019.

As President, Sosnovschi has organized numerous national and international ballet events, including major ballet galas, worldwide tours, and many Viennese balls. One of the largest projects organized and executed by Mihail was the Moldovan State Opera’s guest performances at the Aspendos Theater and galas in Bodrum. He enriches countless ballet openings each year and serves as the artistic director and choreographer for the association's annual guest performance in Bad Aussee.
